Fixed Rate Savings Application

What you should know before you apply

Are you eligible?

To apply for an M&S Fixed Rate Savings you have to be a UK resident aged 16 or over.

What you'll be asked for

  • Your contact details – your address should be the same as you use for your debit card
  • Your email address
  • Your bank or building society details
  • Your debit card details to make a deposit, with enough cleared funds in the account
  • We may ask you for proof of identity and/or bank details for verification at a later stage.

To comply with our regulatory obligations, we need to collect certain personal information from you and know how you will fund your account.

  • How will you typically fund this account? (How you fund this account overall may differ from how you fund this transaction)
  • Employment status and details
  • Gross annual income (This is your annual income from all sources before tax or any other deductions)
  • How will you fund this transaction? (How you fund this transaction may differ from how this account is funded overall, e.g the main funding of this account may be your salary, however this transaction may be funded by a family gift).

Initial deposit

You can open Fixed Rate Savings online with up to £50,000. If you want to open an account with more than £50,000, call us on 0808 001 1111. Calls may be recorded.
