We’ll pay the costs you can’t recover, if you have to cancel, postpone or rearrange your wedding. This could be because someone in the wedding party falls ill – or for another unexpected (and unavoidable) reason such as redundancy. We’ll also pay for extra costs in rearranging things to avoid cancelling the wedding. Unfortunately we can’t pay if one of the parties changes their mind.
If a supplier goes out of business before your big day, you’re covered for the deposits you’ve paid – and for any extra costs involved for arranging a replacement.
What if the photographer doesn’t turn up? Or your wedding photos or video don’t come out? With our cover you’ll receive up to £3,000 (depending on the cover level you choose) to have pictures of the main wedding party taken on another day.
With M&S Wedding Insurance you’re covered for the dress, the rings and finishing touches like the cake and flowers. So you’ll be compensated if they’re lost, stolen or damaged.
You’re covered for up to £2.5 million for your legal liabilities if someone is injured or property is damaged at your wedding. Some venues insist you have this cover before you make a booking.
If you’re hiring a marquee, you can add this to your M&S Wedding Insurance policy. The extra cover pays for marquee damage or loss up to £20,000 – and it’s available with cover levels 2, 3 and 4.
If all the planning and organising is getting on top of you, you can call our wedding helpline and speak to a professional counsellor. They’ll give you advice on how to make the preparations less stressful.
If you’ve got an M&S Card you’ll also receive 100 M&S points when you take out M&S Wedding Insurance.
