'Green' Benefits

As you'd expect, M&S Home Insurance doesn't stop at the usual range of benefits. With M&S Home Insurance it's not just your home environment that's protected. From 1 January 2010, all new policies will include these 'green' benefits:

• When you make an approved claim for dishwashers, washing machines, refrigerators, tumble dryers, fridges or freezers, we will replace them with new A-rated energy-efficient models (where possible).
• We'll also, where we can, rebuild severely damaged property in line with level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes. This code uses a 1-6 star rating system to communicate the overall sustainability rating of a home (the highest rating is 6).
