Extensive protection
With M&S Car Insurance comprehensive policy you’re covered if your vehicle is stolen, damaged or written off.
Premier or Standard?
Premier cover is a Five Star car insurance package that offers you extra benefits worth over £195*. It protects you not just your car and includes RAC Breakdown Cover, Motor Legal Protection, Hire Car for up to 14 days and Keycare. Standard cover costs less, but it doesn’t include all the benefits you get with Premier.
Breakdown Cover
Our Breakdown Cover is provided by the RAC. With Premier cover you’ll get Personal UK and European Breakdown Cover included which covers you not the car so you can use it even if you’re a passenger in another car. With Standard cover you can get Vehicle UK Breakdown Cover as an optional extra, this will cover your vehicle only, if you need European Breakdown cover this is included with Premier cover. Both include at home assistance, roadside recovery and onward travel assistance.
Motor Legal Protection – included with Premier cover
If you’re involved in an accident that’s not your fault, you can claim uninsured losses, such as your policy excess, from the driver responsible as long as they can be identified and are insured. Motor Legal Protection is available as an optional extra with Standard cover.
Hire car – Included with Premier cover
Our aim is to keep you on the road. So if your car is being repaired, or if it’s stolen or written off, we’ll give you a hire car for up to 14 days. If your car is still off the road after 14 days, we’ll provide a courtesy car, subject to availability. Hire car is included with Standard cover when you take out optional Motor Legal Protection.
Keycare – included with Premier cover
If your keys are lost or stolen, Keycare’s 24 hour helpline and nationwide key recovery service provides up to £1,000 towards new keys, locks and locksmith services. Keycare is not available with Standard cover.
Personal belongings
Your personal belongings are insured for up to £200 against loss or damage by fire, theft or accident while they’re in your car, if the items were from M&S then you’re covered for up to £500.
Personal accident
If you or your spouse is injured in a car accident, you could claim up to £10,000.
Driving abroad
Green card cover is included with your policy, so you can take your car abroad in the European Union, as often as you like, for up to 90 days at a time.
Guaranteed repairs
All repairs completed by M&S Approved Repairers are guaranteed for 3 years.
24 hour claims service
We’re here to help when you need it most.
M&S points
If you’ve got an M&S card you’ll get 1,000 loyalty points when you take out a new policy.
Five Star cover
Our Premier cover has been given a Five Star rating by Defaqto.
