Exclusive to M&S Credit Card and Chargecard holders, M&S Card Safe is an optional insurance which gives you peace of mind if your credit, debit and store cards are lost or stolen. It also covers personal documents like your passport and driving licence – and important things like tickets, keys and cash.

We won’t leave you stranded

It doesn’t matter where you are in the world, if you lose your cards, or if they’re stolen, we’ll notify your card providers, order new cards and even get emergency cash to you.

Generous cover limits

You’re covered for up to £100,000 against card fraud once you’ve told us your cards are missing. And up to £5,000 before you tell us. You need to contact us within 24 hours of discovering the loss.

When you’re abroad

We can arrange an emergency cash advance up to £3,000. And if your tickets are lost or stolen, we can provide extra cash to replace them. There’s up to £200 (per year) to help retrieve lost luggage – as long as you’ve used Card Safe ID tags. And up to £3,000 to pay your hotel bill. Cash advances are subject to status and are repayable within 28 days.

Passport and driving licence

If you lose your passport and driving licence abroad, we’ll help you arrange emergency replacements – and give you up to £200 to cover the cost.

Personal documents

If you lose any personal documents at the same time as your cards, we’ll register your details with CIFAS – the UK’s fraud prevention specialist – to protect you from identity fraud.

Additional cover

M&S Card Safe includes a key tag and retrieval service. And up to £1,000 (per year) for lock and key replacement – which even covers your car keys.
